How to set up input series in the Index builder?

When the input series are displayed, you can specify the Input type and assign Weight to each input.

For individual input series

1. Go to Input type, select an option from the dropdown: Raw data (in levels), % Change (percent change) or % Change, YoY (year-over-year percent change).

2. Go to Weight, %, specify the percent weight for each input. The weight is to be non-negative. The tool automatically rebalances all weights to a total of 100% during calculation.

For bulk changes to all input series or a subset of series

1. Select the checkboxes for the series

2. Go to Edit, and update Input type and Weight, %.

To apply same weights to all input series

1. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮)

2. Select the option Equalize weights

To normalize weights to a total of 100%

1. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮)

2. Select the option Normalize weights

3. Note: the tool automatically rebalances all weights to a total of 100% during calculation. You only need to normalize them if you choose to do so.
